Nutrition drink for kids – Kiwi spinach banana and oats smoothie

A flavourful, fresh, tasty, and instant healthy drink made with nuts and spices! This masala milk is very easy to digest and has a good amount of protein and calcium too. Hence, it’s the tastiest way to add milk to kids’ diets! As a family, my thumbs up will always be for the homemade masala milk. This healthy drink for kids is again a family recipe, with a few variations of my own.

While the world has acknowledged it only recently, the masala milk has been a mother’s home remedy for any ailments for generations!

Masala means a spice blend or a mixture of spices. I have used jaggery instead of sugar or honey. Honey should not be added to hot drinks, as per Ayurveda. Honey becomes toxic when heated. If not heating up the milk & serving cold or at room temperature, then you can add honey.

Masala milk is also known to cure sore throat and induces good sound sleep at the night! And it tastes best when served hot or warm! The spices in this milk make sure that your little one stays warm, full, and safe from diseases. The spice nutmeg in the powder calms, relaxes and helps in getting sleep. With all the dry fruits and spices in it, this is an excellent drink with milk, for both kids and adults alike. Make it a habit for your children to have the homemade masala milk hot or cold.
